Assessment and CBCT
The team evaluates bone volume, neighbouring teeth, gums, nerves and sinuses. Active infection or gum disease may need treatment first.
Dental implants in Cluj, Romania
Replace one or more missing teeth with a plan based on your anatomy, gum health and final restoration. We separate the cost of the implant fixture from the abutment, crown and any additional surgery, so you can understand the real treatment estimate.
Transparent costs
These are current ProDent prices for the implant fixture. They are not presented as the complete price of a finished tooth.
| Implant system | Fixture price | May be added separately |
|---|---|---|
| INNO (South Korea) implant fixture | 2,000 RON | Abutment, definitive crown, imaging and additional surgery if indicated |
| Straumann (Switzerland) implant fixture | 2,500 RON | Abutment, definitive crown, imaging and additional surgery if indicated |
| Bredent (Germany) implant fixture | 3,000 RON | Abutment, definitive crown, imaging and additional surgery if indicated |
| Straumann BLX Roxolid fixture | 3,700 RON | Abutment, definitive crown, imaging and additional surgery if indicated |
Currency conversions into EUR or GBP should be treated as estimates because exchange rates change. Your written quotation is issued in RON and itemises the planned components.
Why patients travel for treatment
A complete single-tooth implant at ProDent — fixture, abutment and crown — is typically 4,000–6,000 RON (roughly €800–1,200). The figures below are general 2026 private-market indicators published by UK, Irish and US dental-cost guides, shown for orientation only.
| Country | Typical private cost, single implant (complete) | Approx. EUR equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | £1,800 – £3,500 | ≈ €2,050 – €4,000 |
| Ireland | €2,000 – €3,500 | €2,000 – €3,500 |
| United States | $3,000 – $6,500 | ≈ €2,750 – €6,000 |
| ProDent, Cluj (Romania) | 4,000 – 6,000 RON | ≈ €800 – €1,200 |
These are general market ranges, not quotes from any specific competitor, and they change over time with exchange rates and local pricing. Ireland's currency is the euro, not the pound. Your own dentist's quote may fall outside these ranges depending on the case. The gap is one reason implant and full-arch treatment often justifies the trip to Cluj — see how to plan travel around treatment.
Travelling to Cluj
Cluj-Napoca International Airport (CLJ) is directly connected with London, Leeds, Dublin and cities across Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland and Portugal. Many international patients can therefore reach Cluj without a connecting flight.
Some routes are seasonal and schedules change. Before booking travel, send your panoramic X-ray or CBCT so the team can review the likely treatment stages and discuss suitable dates. See our dental tourism and travel-planning guide for route examples, nearby accommodation and visit planning.
From diagnosis to final tooth
The team evaluates bone volume, neighbouring teeth, gums, nerves and sinuses. Active infection or gum disease may need treatment first.
The titanium implant replaces the missing root. An immediate implant may be possible after extraction in selected cases, but it is not automatic.
The implant is allowed to integrate with the bone. A temporary solution is selected according to location and implant stability.
After healing, the prosthetic stage includes the abutment and a crown designed for bite, hygiene and natural appearance.
Implants cannot decay, but the surrounding tissue can become inflamed. Home cleaning and professional reviews remain essential.
You receive the recommended follow-up schedule. Contact ProDent promptly if pain, swelling, mobility or a prosthetic problem develops.
Clinical options
ProDent uses INNO (South Korea), Straumann (Switzerland) and Bredent (Germany), including Straumann BLX Roxolid. The best option is not simply the most expensive one: selection depends on available bone, primary stability, restorative space, the definitive prosthesis and the components required for future maintenance.
An implant and individual crown can avoid preparing healthy adjacent teeth for a conventional bridge.
Two or more implants may support a bridge. The number and position are planned according to biomechanics, not a fixed formula.
All-on-4, All-on-5 or All-on-6 may support a fixed provisional bridge in suitable cases. This has a separate planning and pricing pathway.
Responsible implant care
Implant treatment is surgery and no clinic can guarantee biological integration. Risk can be influenced by smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, untreated periodontitis, insufficient bone, poor hygiene, excessive bite forces and failure to attend reviews. Possible complications include infection, failed integration, peri-implant disease, nerve or sinus problems and prosthetic complications. Your clinician will discuss the risks relevant to your case.
Dental implant FAQ
At ProDent, the implant fixture currently starts at 2,000 RON. The abutment, crown, imaging and any bone procedure are separate unless explicitly included in your written treatment plan.
A conventional implant commonly requires one visit for surgery and another after osseointegration for the definitive crown. Bone grafting or a complex case can change the sequence.
Yes. A panoramic X-ray can provide an initial overview, but it cannot provide the three-dimensional measurements needed for implant planning. A CBCT is required for implant or surgical treatment, and the final plan is confirmed clinically in Cluj.
No. Bone volume and anatomy are assessed on CBCT. Some patients need no augmentation; others may require guided bone regeneration or a sinus lift.
Osseointegration commonly takes several months. The exact timing depends on the site, bone quality, implant stability, general health and whether augmentation was performed.
Price alone does not determine suitability. The surgeon selects a system according to the clinical situation, components, prosthetic plan and long-term maintenance.

Plan before you travel
Send a recent panoramic X-ray or CBCT and a short description of your concerns. A panoramic X-ray can support an initial overview, but it does not allow the three-dimensional measurements required for implant or surgical planning. A CBCT is therefore required for implant and surgical treatment. The final diagnosis and treatment plan are confirmed after the clinical examination in Cluj.
