Surgery and implants
Teeth that cannot be retained are extracted where indicated, and the planned implants are inserted under local anaesthesia.
Full-mouth dental implants in Romania
For suitable patients with failing or missing teeth, four, five or six implants can support a fixed provisional bridge fitted the same day or the next day. The immediate teeth are temporary; the definitive zirconia restoration is made after approximately six months of healing.
The distinction that matters
Teeth that cannot be retained are extracted where indicated, and the planned implants are inserted under local anaesthesia.
If primary stability and the clinical conditions allow immediate loading, a fixed temporary bridge is attached in the same day or within 24 hours.
After osseointegration—typically around six months—the provisional bridge is replaced with the separately selected definitive restoration.
Important: “24 hours” refers to the fixed provisional bridge, not the final zirconia teeth. Immediate loading is confirmed only after assessment and surgery.
A realistic timeline
| Stage | What normally happens | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Remote review | Available panoramic X-ray for an initial overview and CBCT for the measurements required for implant planning, plus medical history, goals and an initial estimate | Before booking treatment |
| Visit 1 | Clinical examination, CBCT confirmation, extractions if needed, implants and provisional fixed teeth | Length depends on the case and early checks |
| Healing | Soft-food period, hygiene, reviews and osseointegration | Approximately 3–6 months; often around 6 months for the final plan |
| Visit 2 | Records, bite verification, trial stages and definitive fixed restoration | Planned after healing is confirmed |
Suitable candidates
Patients with a fully edentulous arch, unstable removable dentures or remaining teeth with a confirmed poor prognosis may be assessed for full-arch treatment.
Bone volume, gum disease, bite, smoking, diabetes, medications and general health all influence the plan and healing.
If implant stability or tissue conditions are inadequate, loading may need to be delayed. Safety and long-term prognosis take priority over the 24-hour promise.
Recovery and aftercare
The provisional bridge is fixed, but it must be protected while the implants integrate. Patients normally follow a soft-food diet, use the hygiene methods demonstrated by the team and attend the recommended checks. Swelling and discomfort can occur after surgery. Contact the clinic promptly for increasing pain, persistent bleeding, fever, unusual swelling, mobility or a fractured provisional bridge.
Before leaving Cluj, international patients should understand the medication plan, emergency contact route, next review and the timing of the definitive restoration.
Full-mouth implant FAQ
No. They are fixed provisional teeth. The definitive zirconia or other selected final restoration is made after implant healing and is priced separately.
No. Immediate loading depends on implant stability, bone, infection control, bite and other clinical factors. The decision is confirmed by the surgical team.
Four, five or six implants may be planned for an arch. The number is based on anatomy, bone distribution, forces and the prosthetic design—not on price alone.
Many All-on-X plans are designed to use available bone efficiently, but grafting cannot be ruled out without CBCT and clinical assessment.
You receive fixed teeth, but a soft diet is important during early healing. Hard and chewy foods can overload the implants and provisional bridge.

Plan before you travel
Send a recent panoramic X-ray or CBCT and a short description of your concerns. A panoramic X-ray can support an initial overview, but it does not allow the three-dimensional measurements required for implant or surgical planning. A CBCT is therefore required for implant and surgical treatment. The final diagnosis and treatment plan are confirmed after the clinical examination in Cluj.
